Insights of LESCO Bill

For the sake of knowledge, I have shared some insights into the LESCO bill.

Deferred Bill

When your LESCO electricity bill displays ‘Bill Deferred,’ it signifies that you have the option to either pay the full bill amount promptly or delay payment. If you choose to defer the bill, the current bill amount will be divided into installments and added to your upcoming bills, with no additional late LESCO payment surcharge applied.

CR Bill Amount

CR, which stands for Credit Bill Amount, represents the surplus balance that may appear on your bill if you’ve paid more than the actual bill amount in your previous billing cycle. This credited amount will be subtracted from your forthcoming bill(s), effectively serving as an advance payment. For instance, if your CR is -1000, and your next bill amount totals 4000, the 1000 credit will be deducted from the 4000, resulting in a final payment of only 3000.

PM Relief

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the government extended relief measures to LESCO and other electric supply companies. For domestic consumers utilizing less than 300 units, they have the option to either pay their bills or defer payment. If they choose not to pay immediately, the outstanding amount will be divided into installments and added to subsequent bills without incurring any additional charges.
